Notas BLA, Apple Notes, Bear, Obsidian: what each one is for

Four notes apps on the iPhone, four different purposes. When Notas BLA fits and when it does not. An honest comparison, no demonization, no miracle promises.

A notes app on the iPhone is not a single category. It is at least four different purposes, with four types of user, with four opposite editorial decisions. Apple Notes is for capture. Bear is for organization. Obsidian is for building a Second Brain. Notas BLA is for publishing. Worth understanding each one to choose right, or to run two or three in parallel without getting confused.

Apple Notes is the built-in. It already comes with the iPhone, iPad and Mac. Works offline, syncs via iCloud, integrates with Apple Pencil, supports Scribble, links with Reminders and Calendar. It is the quick-capture option: you say "Hey Siri, open a note", dictate a thought, close. The note is saved, indexed, findable. For that use, it is unbeatable. For prolonged reading or structured writing, it was not the goal.

Bear is a notes app from Brazil with beautiful markdown. Careful typography, hierarchical tags, internal wiki links, three themes. For whoever keeps a reading list, takes book notes, uses markdown as a mental language. The one caveat: Bear Pro is a monthly subscription. Whoever prefers a one-time purchase will run into that business model decision.

Obsidian is the knowledge graph. Each note is a node, each link is an edge, the result is a navigable graph that many call a Second Brain. It has plugins, customizable hotkeys, an interactive graph view. For whoever wants to build a long-term personal archive with dense cross-referencing, Obsidian is the reference. A learning curve exists.

Notas BLA is editorial publishing. Invisible markdown for the common user, an embedded Carousel that turns the note into three sizes ready for Instagram, an open folder in iCloud Drive, native editorial typography. For whoever writes with the goal of publishing (on Instagram, on a personal blog, in a newsletter). It does not compete with Apple Notes on capture. It does not compete with Obsidian on knowledge graph. It competes on turning text into a publishable editorial piece.

The four coexist. You can use Apple Notes to capture quick thought, Bear for reading notes, Obsidian for a long-term personal archive, and Notas BLA when the moment comes to turn one of the notes into an Instagram carousel. Each one does one thing well. Whoever understands this uses all of them. Whoever wants just one picks the one that fits the dominant routine.

Notas BLA fits whoever publishes on Instagram with frequency. For content creators, editorial houses, small companies that maintain digital presence, for writers who keep a personal Instagram. The pre-populated Trends (Films, Bands, Books, Places, Quotes) are triggers to start. The automatic Carousel is the shortcut that saves the most time in the creation flow.

One-time purchase, no subscription. Anti-extractive: no ads, no data collection, no login, no analytics. You download, install, write, export. If in three months you decide it does not fit, you take your notes with you (they are .md files in iCloud Drive, openable in any editor). It is the kind of app that respects you enough to let you leave with everything in hand.
