TL;DR: Cruzadinha BLA has four pieces. Daily Mini 5×5 every day. Big Sunday 15×15 every week. Archive 11×11 by theme (Culture, Trivia, History, more to come). Seasonal Special Editions (World Cup, Anniversary, Drummond, Carnival, Festa Junina). Each piece with its role in the editorial calendar.
When you open Cruzadinha BLA for the first time, you see a library. The first section is "TODAY · FREE FOR EVERYONE", with two cards: the Daily Mini and the Big Sunday of the week. Below, the archive by theme. Further down, the Special Editions.
Four pieces, four rhythms. Each one solves a different need.
Daily Mini, 5×5, every day. The Daily Mini is a 5×5 crossword. Five rows, five columns, around 8 short words. Fits in 3 minutes. Every morning, a new one comes in automatically.
The Daily Mini is the morning ritual. You open the app, do the Mini, close it. Free for everyone, always. Whoever did not play yesterday's Mini finds it in the archive, alongside previous Minis. Nothing gets lost.
The selection is deterministic. The app knows which day of the year you are living in and shows the matching Mini. It does not need a connection to know. It fits on a plane.
Big Sunday, 15×15, every week. The Big Sunday is the large 15×15 crossword, weekly. Every week, a new Big Sunday, synced with the calendar week. It is the direct heritage of the big Sunday newspaper crossword. Fits in 20 to 40 minutes, depending on who plays. It asks for more attention, more time. There is room for clues that breathe, for uncommon words, for wordplay. Free for everyone, always. Previous Big Sundays stay in the archive.
Archive by theme, 11×11. The archive is the editorial heart of the app. 92 crosswords at 11×11 organized by theme: Culture, Trivia, History in the opening archive. Four more themes come in sequence: Literature, Brazil, World, Wordplay. Each theme is an editorial strand. Culture pulls Machado, Drummond, Brazilian cinema, MPB. Trivia pulls broad curiosities, light science, geography. History pulls figures, dates, places. You pick the theme, pick the crossword, play. The archive is the place for crossword without a fixed time. You play when you want, in the order you want. No daily gate.
Pull quote: The crossword is not one. It is an editorial calendar.
Special Editions, seasonal. A Special Edition is a seasonal themed pack. BLA Anniversary in August, Brazil Anniversary in September, Drummond in October, Carnival in February, Festa Junina in June, World Cup 2026 between June and July. Each Special Edition has a set of thematically connected crosswords. When you complete all the crosswords in a Special Edition, you get an editorial stamp in your collection. The stamps appear in the "Your collection" section. It is not aggressive gamification. It is just a record of the editions you went through. Special Editions enter in editorial rhythm: they launch in the corresponding season, stay available within the theme window, then enter the general archive. Optional support unlocks full access to all Special Editions, present and future.
How everything talks together. The four pieces do not live in isolation. The Daily Mini brings you to the app every day. When you finish the Mini, the app suggests one from the archive. When you complete a theme in the archive, it calls you to the related Special Edition. When you complete an Edition, it becomes a stamp in your collection. Each piece has its rhythm, and the four together form a calendar. Daily (Mini), weekly (Big Sunday), on demand (archive), seasonal (Special Edition). It is the rhythm of an editorial publication, translated to the app.
